Every dish that comes to the aid of this tuber from Lika land, which is warmed by warm salty currents from the sea during the day, and by cold breezes from the Lika hills at night, the most desirable climatic prerequisites for the cultivation of newcomers from the slopes of the Andes, regularly plays a major role in the gastronomic play. The Lika potato is the only one that has surpassed the fame of its competitors that are offered on the Croatian table.
