Winter and autohtonus products fair
The fair was held from October 13 to 15, 2017 at Ban Josip Jelačić Square, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the City of Zagreb, and gathered 120 exhibitors from all Croatian counties. Winter products and autochthonous products whose name is protected by a mark of origin and a mark of geographical origin in the Republic of Croatia and in the European Union were presented at the Fair. Agrovelebit d.o.o. for the third time presented his trademarked product Lički krumpir. Minister Tolušić said: "With the fair, we celebrate the World Food Day, and our country has a lot to be proud of. So far, we have protected the names of 17 domestic products at the EU level - by protecting their originality and geographical origin, we actively help the promotion and marketing of domestic products, so we included short supply chains in the Public Procurement Act to help our producers. We fight for the equality of entities in the food supply chain and protect our primary producers with the Law on Prohibition of Unfair Trade Practices in the Food Supply Chain, and most importantly, we place family farms alongside industry and regulate their status with the Law on Family Farms. The winter fair is only a fraction of what we can offer and represents a symbolic meeting between food producers and end consumers, nurturing an old tradition right on Zagreb's main square. I invite all the residents of Zagreb and their guests to take care of the long winter days and enjoy the flavors of a real homemade zimnica. See you on the Square!"
